but seriously, did they use to tell the nurses here to make scarey frowny faces when they took photos?
early morning here in icu, waiting to meet with the doctor and to see how ty is doing today. our bodies are sore and coffee is our god right now.

i actually discussed the topic of serious/frowny photos just this past weekend as we poured over bunches of old photos during the funeral planning process....
and came to the conclusion that with old photo techniques, holding still was very important. and, it's easier to hold still, i guess, with a serious face than smiling. not to mention that photos weren't casual snapshots, but taken for posterity's sake...and posterity just has an air of seriousness about it.
hope today is less stressful.
